This page explains what Otterly Lost Guide collects and why, in plain terms.

What is collected

Analytics. The site uses Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages are read. It records aggregated data such as page views, approximate country, referrer, browser and device type. It does not identify you by name.
Server logs. Our hosting provider processes standard request logs (IP address, user agent, timestamp) to serve pages and block abuse.
No accounts, no forms. There is no login, no comment system and no newsletter. Nothing you type here is stored, because there is nothing to type into.

Cookies

Google Analytics sets cookies to distinguish sessions. If your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, respect for it depends on your browser and any extensions you use; blocking analytics cookies with an extension does not break the site.

Advertising

If advertising is served on this site in future, ad networks may set their own cookies to limit repeat impressions and measure performance. Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on prior visits to this and other sites. You can opt out of personalised advertising through Google's Ads Settings, and control other vendors through aboutads.info.

Use a browser profile or extension that blocks analytics and ads.
Request information about anything this site holds that relates to you — in practice this amounts to aggregate analytics, not personal data.
